Start of an Ice Sculpting competition in London, next to the Natural History Museum and the ice skating rink in South Kensington. 5 teams from various countries started on Friday with huge blocks of ice, using chainsaws and chisels to turn them into art!
They were doing free lessons over the weekend but not on the Friday so I missed out. And they weren’t going to let us use the chainsaws anyways.
They finally released the trailer for The International! This Drama / Thriller directed by Tom Tykwer (Perfume, Run Lola Run) stars Clive Owen and Naomi Watts and will be released in February 2009.
Its my first major film credit, and I spent a good 4 months or more working on it. There’s only a small amount of my work in this trailer so you’ll have to go and see it!
China Town, and seemingly the rest of central London, was locked down & dressed up for a huge Chinese New Year Festival!
Thousands of people showed up for food, music, fireworks, dance, and of course my favorite, Kung Fu!

Well the Giants just won the Superbowl with 30seconds to spare, but the real highlight of any Superbowl, as we all know, is the commercials!
Each year these are the most expensive commercials on Air, that is what they pay for the 30second spot, not the prouction costs! Superbowl is only second to the final of MASH in record viewers, hence the expensive commercial slots
Unfortunately for some, all the money went into buying the spot, with none left to produce a decent commercial to put in it. But theres always some good ones, here is my top 10! Vote below for your fave, and you can check all the rest out on Myspace.
I went to see a midnight session of Cloverfield last night, and I guess it was as I expected. It’s campaign was basically viral marketing, and had no title, simply the date 01-18-08. J.J Abrahams was behind Alias (great) and LOST (couldn’t get into it). I had a feeling this movie was going to have too much of that LOST feel to it. Anyways, It’s a little hard to write about without spoiling things, but I’ll give it a go. Continue Reading…
There’s one reason to love New Year in Japan, JTV. This is one of the best times of the year for Japanese TV. There are loads of specials, look backs for the last year, shows that revisit guests and episodes up to 10 or 15 years earlier, and even 24hr Live shows, where some hosts stay on for the entire show. Its totally crazy, and not hard to understand why people stay at home watching TV before heading off to the local Shrine at Midnight. So there’s loads of stuff for this month
