Chelsea V Everton

In a prequel of sorts to the FA Cup final, we saw Chelsea play Everton in a Premier League Match at Stamford Bridge Stadium (Chelsea’s Homeground next to Fullham Broadway).

The crowd at an English game is much tamer now as security and officials have cracked down hard in recent years. You can’t even take a beer back to your seat! But still fun.

Although Chelsea had numerous attempts at Goal, they couldn’t quite finish it off and the closest chance hit the top bar, resulting in a relatively uneventful 0-0 draw.

Barcelona

We stayed at one of the Sant Jordi Hostels in Barcelona, and its pretty damn cool. Its quite cheap, enough space, free lockers and internet etc, and good lounge. Most of the staff are Brazilian and they organise parties almost every night of the week along with people from the other Sant Jordi Hostels!
Needless to say Joe and I joined them. Continue Reading…

Kawasaki ‘Frontale’ Vs Chiba

Our mate Takeshi had tickets to a J-League game and invited us. We live in Kawasaki but he is originaly from Chiba!

When we first arrived and tried one of the gates, I couldn’t believe the line. Honestly it was the longest que I have ever seen, and by the time I found the end I was 10min from the stadium!! Luckily we realised our tickets also worked on another gate which was completely free :) The crowd was quite pumped, home side fans even had  full drum kit, and the teams were close in the ranks. Fun match but as with Aus all they Star-Players are over in Euro-Land.

End result 1-1, but I’m pretty sure I was safe from any potential Riots (like I saw in Rio!) anyways.
