Paris 2011
Next Stop, Paris! Starting with another early flight, we wondered around on the first day, but Ciaran & I took the walking tour the next day so we actually knew what we were looking at (at the time… I’ve forgotten it all now) and some of the history of Paris. It was pretty good and in-depth, taking around 4hrs!
I didn’t go into the Louvre this time (been there, done that) but we tried to go up the Eiffel Tower at night and they had closed the stairs off already!! The lift queues were hours long so we gave up. The Arc De Triomph gives great city views anyway, and the tower is best seen from the ground, not on it!
I stumbled on to some impromptu street opera! OK it was probably organised by the shop, and normally I couldn’t care less about opera, but it was just in the street and I found it by walking in a random direction!
