Air Asia has started flights from Kuala Lumpur to London this year, and did so with some great ofers! I got a bargain ticket, and opting to bring my own food and entertainment saved a few more quid. It was a 1am flight at Stanstead so i took this photo while waiting to board (of another plane though!).
The 13hr flight was fine, surprising leg space, free seat next to me, didn’t fall out of the sky.. the usual. But after all my flights, I still can’t work out how the hell to get comfortable enough to sleep.

In a prequel of sorts to the FA Cup final, we saw Chelsea play Everton in a Premier League Match at Stamford Bridge Stadium (Chelsea’s Homeground next to Fullham Broadway).
The crowd at an English game is much tamer now as security and officials have cracked down hard in recent years. You can’t even take a beer back to your seat! But still fun.
Although Chelsea had numerous attempts at Goal, they couldn’t quite finish it off and the closest chance hit the top bar, resulting in a relatively uneventful 0-0 draw.
The weather was great for an afternoon in the park, as I joined the Japan Society’s Hanami party in Hyde Park! Eating and drinking Japanese foods in the sun under (next to) Sakura (cherry blossom trees). Continue Reading…

If you want to help visit The Red Cross website to find out how.
I’m still not sure why I agreed to go to this match, the last time I went down to brooky oval Geoff Toovy and Cliff Lyons were on the cards. And the cards came with bubble gum. But hey, the Manly Sea Eagles won last year’s Rugby League comp in Australia, and so have come over to England for a few friendly matches, and I’m always one to jump on an Aussie Band Wagon.
Today they played The Harlequins in Twickenham, London.
Starting with a team of mostly reserves led to a poor half time result of 20-0 down, as an English supporter behind us asked “Is this the best you guys have got?”. Clearly NO. In the 2nd half the team returned with several of the normal key starting players (I only know this because Elouise told me) and of course we then scored a goal try within 4 minutes.
Final Score: Manly 34, Harlequins 26 !
YES. This IS London. The biggest dump of snow in 18 years hit town, so of course we went out to play. Continue Reading…
Chinese New Year festivals in London: China Town, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. I think last year’s had more stuff, and definitely more fireworks! I didn’t even get to see any Kung Fu on stage. But I did get sesame balls, little firework crackers, and an ox.
