Asakusa is one of the biggest tourist areas in Tokyo. The temple and market area is always crowded, but its a really nice area to see. And we happened to catch the end of a festival, the Sanja Matsuri!

Toronto to London, via Vegas and Tokyo… Thats the shortest way, right? As the crow flies… ha!
Jon invited me to join him and Cat for a week in Tokyo, and how could I resist? Of course a week is too short, so I planned 3 weeks! For shenanigans and metting up with all my mates in japan.
Included in said shenanigans were a visit to Kagaya, a crazy izakaya where the menu is written in crayon, your hot towel is delivered via a robot (anpan man), the host does various performances, drinks are served in shakey cups, and you play games at the end of your meal! Unfortunately they don’t offer any vegan options, but they do have drinks!
Golden Gai is a great little area of tiny bars in Shinjuku, but not all are friendly to foreigners! The rest of course are very friendly, just check out the sign below.
We met up with my old work mates from LDW who were all in good form and, as usual, we ended up drinking at izakayas all night till first train at 5am
