American Natural History Museum

There’s two things that will actually get me interested in a museum, one is having stuff you can play with, the second is dinosaurs :) And while the American Natural History Museum is severley lacking the former, it has loads of the latter!

There’s a couple of huge, complete dinosaur skeletons including a T-Rex and a Diplodocus, and other giant prehistoric beasts like the Woooly Mammoth. We spent a fair few hours here. Its also across from Hyde Park and close to Peacefoods Cafe as I mentioned in the last post!

Brighton, England

Winter isn’t exactly the best time to head to Brighton, most people go for the beach, but I’d never been, I wanted to visit Vegetarian Shoes, and it fit into my tourist-in-london mentality!

Vegetarian Shoes is a UK shoe company making ethical, vegan shoes. Their quality is top-notch, and while you can buy online, I wanted to check the fit and get some decent boots to handle a Canadian winter! And with the $4 fake vans I had from Thailand being my only current shoes before picking up my gear in Gosport, I needed them badly!

I tried one of the many veggie restaurants for a quick lunch and headed out to Brighton Pier. To get to the end of the pier you basically have to walk through a gambling hall, and out to the abandoned theme park. There were people there manning some of the rides, but I highly doubt they were going to get any customers.

With the rain picking up and getting colder, there wasn’t a lot to do really so I got a vegan hot chocolate and headed back to london!
