Toronto: Xmas in November

They start Christmas early in Toronto. Like November early. (Decorations shouldn’t start going up till at least mid December!). They open things up with a festival and turning on the lights of the “Xmas Tree” in Dunads Square, but the “Tree” was just a bunch of lights itself (Not exactly the Times Square or Martin Place Xmas tree I was expecting!) Still looked OK though. They also had fire jugglers, music and other acts going on.

Next was the “Christmas Parade”, again I say it like “Christmas” because its more of a Canada Parade really. Every float is preceeded by an advertisment of some kind, and even half the floats themselves were company logos or trademark characters! Then polar bears, mounties, marching bands, clowns… At least Santa showed up at the end! 🙂
