Vietnam to Cambodia, Via the Mekong Delta

My next move was to head to Cambodia, and I thought it would be nice to take in some of the Mekong Delta on the way. It could have been great, buit it turned oout to be one of the worst run tours I have ever been on. Continue Reading…

my right leg

No, I haven’t made a parody film about using my right leg to paint, drive a car, play the piano or shoot a machine gun. This is simply to show what has happened to My Right Leg in the last few days.

Trampled by a horse, getting a “Vietnamese Tattoo” (aka burned by a motor bike – everyone I know who rode a moto in Vietnam got one at some point!) and bashing my shin inside the Cu Chi tunnels, (yes I am unco, but these tunnels were made for 4 foot Vietnamese, not a 6′1″ lanky bastard such as myself).

I’m starting to think my right leg is accident prone. No not me, just the leg. It already had 2 scars. The damage from the horse has totally healed now, but it seems the remainder of the burn is permant, just like a real tattoo. So now my right leg looks like the victim of a an Alien experiment gone wrong..Maybe its time to just cut my losses….Literally…. I can hop…kinda….

Da Lat, Vietnam

I was looking forward to Dalat for a couple of reasons. 1) is that its 1500m above sea level, meaning lower temps and giving some temporary relief from the intense heat! 2) I was planning to take an Easy rider tour. Continue Reading…

Nha Trang

Nha Trang is basically a Beach Party town, with not much else! I got the second sleeper bus with Dave and Scott from the UK who I met in Hoi An. Dave has got another foot on me, so he was struggling even more to fit in the sleeper, it was however slightly better than the first one at least, but we still couldn’t actually get any sleep.

Warning – this is a long post, I think I’m catching Rob’s disease: encyclopedicpostitis. :D Continue Reading…
