Hong Island, Thailand
Hong Island is a beautiful small island off the coast of Thailand near Krabi. We took a boat tour that stopped here and some other places along the way for snorkling, swimming, sunning etc!
Its the first time I’ve really done any snorkling and it was pretty cool! Last time I tried there was nothing to see and the gear was terrible. This time it was all good. There was loads of fish, various colours, and some coral to look at.
Hong island is in an area that was harshly hit by the tsunami in 2004. There are even a few smashed up boats inland that were dropped there by the huge waves. Now, the area has mostly recovered and they leave them there as a reminder of what happened.
