Kuala Lumpur 2
Coming back from Taman Negara, it rained heavily for a few min on the bus, and it looked like a big storm was coming to KL. I ran around the city tyring to do all the stuff I missed earlier before the rain hit, like Merdeka Square and the National Monument.
Then made it to Petronas towers just before night to see it lit in all its glory. There were loads of people with expensive cameras and tripods looking to take the perfect shot. I had my semi-manual compact with a dieing battery and using whatever I could as a tripod. I met a Canadian guy also taking photos, and when I went back to the hostel he was in the same room! And one of the girl’s was on my same flight to Bangkok. Small world.
We all got up early the next morning to get our tickets to the Petronas Sky Bridge. We got there about 8.30 and there was already a fair que, but got an early enough time to get in before heading to the airport.
First you watch an awesome 3D intro about the building and the company, in the best quality that 1995 can buy
Then you head up and you get a 10min block to take photos before you are ushered out. Its a nice and different view to the KL Tower I saw the other day.
