Rhine Falls

Catherin and Clare were staying with some family friends so we split up for the day, and I decided to visit the Rhine Falls, the largest plain falls in Europe!

As I was admiring them in the sun and getting some spray, I heard a voice that sound not only Australian, but familiar. I turned around and there is Catherin and Clare! By complete fluke they had also decided to come here, 1hr from Zürich, with their friends! I was tempted to take the boat to the rocks in the center of the falls which you can climb up (stairs) and stand looking down the very center of the falls! But the boat was on the other side of the lake and I didn’t have much cash.

I caught the train back to Zürich and went for a long walk around the water, and towards the Chinese Gardens which were closed by the time I got there. I went back and after cooking dinner met a few people at the hostel, and we sat on the terrace for a while until we had to go inside. Then a few people were going out so I joined them and we went to club x-tra!

Wasn’t sure what to expect on a Monday, and no its not a strip club, it is a huge dance club. Luckily it was free entry, but drinks were 20CHF!! ($20 AUD). There was one, large hall and it was packed! Even for a Saturday you might say it was busy, but for a Monday? Crazy :)
