DIVE DIVE DIVE

Bullshit.

We all know thats the only way to describe Australia’s exit from the World cup, as World Champs, of diving, drama, crying, and general pussies Italy, took a dive with 30″ to spare, giving Totti a free chance to take the game after 90″ came up with 0-0. Australia deserved so much better. If to lose, then to a team that deserved it by playing better and scoring within game play, not by diving. Thats it. No more on that topic.

Off to Stuttgart for the Australia V Croatia Match. Apparently Stuttgart is the biggest Croatian city outside of Croatia! And we could tell as we were clearly out numbered about 10-1 at the Fan Fest. Also a note about the fountain, it was circled by port-a-loos, apparently because during a match some Holland Fans died it orange!

We needed Continue Reading…

So we’re having breakfast a couple days ago, covered in green and gold, and 2 Channel 7 guys started asking us about a live cross to the 6pm news! We told them the only way they would get all the Aussies together at 10am on the day we play Australia, is BEER. FREE BEER. So they booked the pub Continue Reading…

It all started with Gabby coming into Munich. Then joined by my mate Timmy from TAFE, we headed out to see Australia’s first world cup match in 32 years. Never won a match, or even scored a goal. Continue Reading…

Alo!

After missing out on the Shaolin Temple (THE place I wanted to visit in China!! :( ) I flew into München!

I stayed at Wombats Hostel, an Aussie themed hostel near Hauptbanhof (Central Station). It has a good open breakfast for a couple Euros, a bar, pool table, lounge etc. Good atmosphere for meeting other people and joining the Pub Crawl :) The prices were of course a little higher because of the World Cup, but they only raised them slightly compared to over DOUBLE at other hostels! And even a couple nights I didn’t book a room they managed to find one for me.

I got to Munich a week before the World Cup and major crowds, so I walked around the old Olympic Area (to become Fan Fest), checked out the guys “Surfing” in the park, where water comes out of a drain pipe, hits tree logs and causes a continuous wave which they take turns at surfing back and forth. The closest thing they’ve got to a beach I guess! but the water is freezing and dirty!

Also visited the BMW Museum and the Deutsches Museum!
